If last year was any indication, this year’s Power Ball was sure to be amazing once again. Held at Canada’s leading contemporary art gallery on June 5th, The Power Plant, Power Ball 2014 welcomed over 1,500 guests who came to support the exhibitions and programs that the Power Plant holds every year.
It was a drizzly night but that didn’t stop over 1,500 guests from gathering at the The Power Plant Gallery for the highly-anticipated annual Power Ball art party. I was lucky to attend last year’s Powerball: Quarter Life Crisis which was quite the riot so this year was definitely worth marking on the calendar. The theme this year was inspired by Andy Warhol citing his famous quote, “In the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes”. Gourmet LA-themed food…
For those in the know, Powerball at The Power Plant is a highly anticipated annual celebration. For the gallery’s 25th anniversary, Power Ball’s “Quarter Life Crisis” was a well-attended evening with 1,700 guests. Those in attendance read like a who’s-who of Canadian and Toronto socialite fame including Melissa Grelo, Mary Kitchen, Jian Ghomeshi, Tanya Kim, Rick Mercer.
