I’ve mentioned before that one of my absolute favourite restaurants is Gusto 101 in the King West area. Great Italian cuisine and easy drinking wine on tap for a dollar an ounce.

So when the opportunity came up to work at my dining destination of choice, obviously I couldn’t pass it up, especially when it’s to preview the tastes of Gusto 54’s expansion to Venice, Los Angeles, naturally with Gusto’s new Chef Evan Funke from LA.

With a feast for your eyes, a banquet to fill your belly, and a cause to warm your heart, the food and beverage purveyors at The Stop’s Night Market showcased their best last week, in support of The Stop Community Food Centre.

The Daily Bread Food Bank, along with support from the likes of Campbell’s and Nutella, held the Ultimate Food Challenge (UFC) again this year. Three talented local chefs competed at the fundraiser at Corus Quay last week, to fight for an end to hunger in our communities.
