Aptly named the MASSIVE Party, the Art Gallery Ontario’s annual fundraiser is regarded as one of the premiere events of the year. With Machine Age as this year’s guiding theme, the Massive Party explores our past, present, and future relationship with machines. Artists were invited to craft three distinct spaces throughout the AGO itself: Industrial, Digital and Space.
The Gardiner Museum hosted the G Party Gala celebrating the 12 Trees exhibition on December 1, 2016. The exhibition was inspired by the theme “Good for the Earth” curated by internationally-renowned artist and environmentalist, David Buckland. The installations are made from natural, recycled, or sustainable materials which help focus attention to environmental concerns.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original series of Star Trek, TIFF endeavored to boldly go where no charity gala has gone before with their massive annual fundraiser: BOOMBOX. On Thursday October 27, we had the pleasure of experiencing TIFF Bell Lightbox’s transformation into a multi-level barrage of Star Trek inspired sci-fi extravaganza.
