We kicked off both the Year of the Rooster and of Canada’s 150th birthday on Saturday January 28th at the annual Dragon Ball.

And we’re still taking about the evening of sensory overload.

We caught up with the Mayor of Toronto at last weekend’s Dragon Ball in the city we (thankfully) call home. The annual Dragon Ball is one of the most anticipated Chinese New Year celebrations in Canada, uniting 1,000 guests – including leading politicians, representatives from the business sector and community leaders – in both celebration and support of the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation.

In support of the Yee Hong Foundation, this year’s 27th annual Dragon Ball fundraising charity gala was bigger and better than ever.

Boasting to be the biggest benefit gala celebrating Chinese New Year in Canada, the 26th annual Dragon Ball was hosted at a new venue accommodating 1,100 guests for a grand Chinese New Year celebration in support of the Yee Hong Foundation’s dedicated services to local senior communities.

Celebrating their 25th annual Dragon Ball, the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation‘s signature fundraising event pulled out all the stops for this commemorative occasion in this Year of the Horse in accordance with the Chinese zodiac. It was an incredible night with all the stops pulled out for the 24th annual Dragon Ball in support of the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care with 1,200 patrons. Highlights include photo opportunities with snakes, the HSBC ice sculpture serving martinis, a raw oyster and clam bar by Raw, a sushi bar, delicious treats by Tundra Restaurant (pleasant surprise seeing you again, Eraj!).
