I remember my first visit to Portland Variety in the summer of 2014. Back then I was quite impressed with the delicious food and amazing cocktails. Flash forward to November 2015, and we’re visiting again to see what’s new and exciting on Portland Variety’s new fall/winter menu.
From Chase Hospitality Group, owners of The Chase, Little Fin, and Colette Grand Café, comes Yorkville’s newest hotspot, the Japanese-themed Kasa Moto. Situated where Remy’s stood for 26 years, the space has been transformed into a chic, contemporary space. On September 25th, we had the opportunity to join a Kasa Moto dinner party to sample some of their food and drink offerings, and checkout the new space.
For a limited time only, for the month of August The Carbon Bar is offering the Cottage Life Experience menu, done in partnership with Cottage Life Magazine and Corona. On Tuesday July 28th, we previewed Chef Hidde Zomer‘s cottage-inspired four-course menu, which consist of some classic cottage fare, re-imagined and elevated in new ways.
There’s nothing quite like a dinner and a show. Or, at least that’s what it felt like. John and I went to Hy’s Steakhouse to visit their posh Toronto location in the financial district for their Tableside Service experience. There’s no extra fee for diners to request this and it’s been a staple at their restaurants all across Canada for years.
