Famous hockey players, politicians, and business figures united at Union Station last night. No, they weren’t taking a train anywhere. They were there to celebrate. After catching the eye of the countless curious commuters for months with its alluring signage, the anticipated Blue Bovine Steak and Sushi House officially launched, with a splashy celebration that drew the who’s who of Toronto out of wintertime hibernation mode.

Holiday season is officially in full force at Union Station. On Friday, November 16, commuters rounded off the workweek with a sparkly celebration of all things festive by Swarovski.

Union Summer, a pop-up market presented by TD, returned this year from July 1st to August 19th. On the agenda was various themes of entertainment for every day of the week. For example, Wednesdays would showcase City Hall Live Music and Outdoor Movie Nights, while Fridays featured DJ ‘Nooner’ and hand-picked TD play list. With the new revitalized Union Station, Amano Pasta is a great addition as the first full-service restaurant. Chef Michael Angeloni envisioned the restaurant concept since childhood while making pasta in his nonna’s basement. Similar to Angeloni, as a second generation half-Italian Canadian, the dishes are Italian while many of the ingredients are not.
