Here’s our list of this weekend’s best events if you’re looking for something to do in Toronto. Have a great weekend!

It was big top fun for a circus-themed “#BigTopBooby” charity bash at this year’s edition of the sold-out Booby Ball held last night, Friday, October 17th, 2014 at Kool Haus.

Shortbread Cookie in Nutella Mousse, Chef Shahir Massoud of Levetto.

The first edition of Love Food Fest was definitely a memorable one! Food lovers and charitable donors descended on Artscape Wychwood Barns on October 7, 2014 for Toronto’s newest food event. Love Food Fest is part of the Love Food Give Food campaign running all October-long for Action Against Hunger – an international humanitarian organization dedicated to ending world hunger, with special focus on children under five.

As we mentioned last month, Operanation is one of Toronto’s must-attend events of the year. I was part of the judging process where cocktails were sampled by featured mixologist Dave Mitton of The Harbord Room.

Chris Rock

Last Saturday night, Sept 27th the Allstream Centre at Exhibition Place was the venue for “Laughter is the Best Medicine”, a charity gala for the Toronto East General Hospital. Filling the shoes of Jerry Seinfeld back in 2012, the headliner this time was the one-and-only Chris Rock to an audience of 1,400 guests. And apparently it was all-new material. How funny was Chris Rock?
