On Saturday November 7th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the Mon Sheong Foundation held their 24th annual Cathay Ball charity gala. This year the Cathay Ball immersed guests in an enchanting evening in Barcelona.

The Taste of Iceland is back for a fifth time from Nov 12th to 15th with four days of festivities and a dazzling array of Icelandic food, music, film and culture.

In partnership with Shangri-La Hotel, the inaugural Fête Chinois art and event showcase takes place next month. It will be a curated exhibition of modern interpretations of traditions including installations, art spaces, musical performances, cinema showings, and photographs.

Sometimes we become complacent and forget how culturally rich, invigorating and active Toronto truly is. It’s incredibly refreshing and inspirational to be reminded of the hidden gems that may be right around the corner from your home or office. The best way to find out, is to see your community from the eyes of a newcomer or tourist, who’s more likely to wonder, explore and try new things.
