I’ve long been a fan of Islay single-malt whiskeys for their complexity, which is often characterized by the distinct smoky aroma and lingering peaty notes unique to whiskies produced in this region of Scotland. So when Moet Hennessey and Ardbeg invited us to an exclusive 3 day #ARDVENTURE, it was clearly an offer that we could simply not refuse. Diner en Blanc, a mysterious and chic pop-up dining event was held at the Canary District on August 18, 2016. Now in its fifth year, the Toronto edition of the event brought together thousands of people for a night filled with food, laughter, music, and dancing at a secret location that was only revealed just a couple of hours before the unveiling of the event.

It’s finally warming up in the city and I make up any excuse to hit the beach. Bikini season calls for heavy-duty maintenance on the hairy jungle that you’ve neglected all winter (hey, don’t judge!). Fortunately, the newly opened Yonge and Eglinton location of Fuzz Wax Bar came to my rescue. I tried their Brazilian, and was impressed by their speedy effort and solid quality of the treatment.
