Fonda Lola – the Mexican diner with an uplifting atmosphere of brilliant ceramics and textiles – completes their existing brunch and dinner options with their first-ever lunch menu. They feature tortas, Mexican street-style sandwiches, served with puckery citrus margaritas.

After turning heads with the recent opening of Toronto’s very first éclair-only patisserie at Queen West, Nügateau perfects a spring/summer 2016 menu, evocative of fruits & flowers, complemented with an invigorating freshness of everyone’s favourite flavours.

The Good Son has been on my list of restaurants to try since it opened in the summer of 2014. Helmed by Chef Vittorio Colacitti of Top Chef Canada, the restaurant promises a “menu [that] is a reflection of the melting pot of cultures that is entwined in the vibrant Queen West neighbourhood”. On December 2nd, we visited The Good Son to sample some of their signature dishes.

I bike past Fonda Lola, a quaint and cozy Mexican restaurant, nearly every day on my way to work. In fact, it is ideally situated in the Queen West neighbourhood of Toronto.

On July 21st, 2015 the first of a series of Dreaming Tree Groves was launched starting in Toronto including the planting of 29 new trees to reforest an area within Trinity Bellwoods Park.

The multi-city project was launched with Tree Canada and Dreaming Tree Wines. As you may know, the winery is a collaboration between musician Dave Matthews and Sean McKenzie.
