With the reopening in May, Maple Leaf Tavern settles back in with a relaxing ambiance. The traditional American bar located in Leslieville has a brickwork-surrounded cozy interior, an outdoor patio with beautifully dangling lights, and a welcoming open concept kitchen consisting of a wood-fire oven. Executive Chef Jesse Vallins – formerly at The Saint – heads the kitchen with recipes that have one salivating by simply looking at the menu.

Known for their entertaining thrills, live concerts, and dynamic spectaculars, and of course new breath-taking food, 2016 welcomes back Canada’s biggest end-of-summer tradition; the Canadian National Exhibition!

Angelo’s Coal Fired Pizza fuels up Toronto with Canada’s very first coal-fired pizza restaurant. After only one month of opening, it has already become a hotspot for gourmands to experience full-flavoured pizza with this Naples-styled cooking method.

The 3rd Annual Destination Thailand Event is set to take place at Yonge-Dundas Square on September 10 2016. The festivities will be hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy showcasing sensational performances (Muay Thai & Thai dances), hands-on activities (thai massage & crafts), and most of all, vibrant Thai flavours!

On a Saturday afternoon, we ventured out to the Southwest-end of Toronto and met with Bria Weaver, the owner of Food Nook Tours. She welcomed us into Roncesvalles (aka Roncy) the home of the Hairspray movie set and the world’s first hairless cat.
