It was an evening filled with inspiration, in celebrating the art of celebrating each other. Celebrity designer Nate Berkus and Michelin-trained Chef Patrick Kriss of Canada’s top-rated restaurant Alo, teamed up with Stella Artois in hosting a most extraordinary garden party and inspirational dining experience.

Shortly after Good Catch Boil’s grand opening earlier this year in April, the Louisiana-inspired seafood restaurant is now open for lunch. Not only can diners order what’s offered for dinner during their new hours from 11:30am-3:00pm, but also a brand new array of dishes from their “Catch a Good Lunch!” menu. On May 13th, we attended the Brewers Plate, now in its 8th year, at the Corus Quay building on Toronto’s east waterfront. The Brewers Plate is a charitable event that celebrates Ontario’s brewers and farmers. This year, it took on a rock-and-roll theme, inviting guests to wear tees of their favourite bands and concerts.

With 30 chefs, 4 wineries, and 2 breweries, this year’s Recipe for Change event was a food lovers’ dream. Held at the St. Lawrence Market North Market, attendees had three hours to wine and dine, all in support of FoodShare‘s programs to raise food literacy and boost healthy food in schools.
