It didn’t seem too long ago that the Toronto qualifiers for the Made With Love cocktail competition were held. On March 30th, the competition to be Toronto’s best bartender culminated at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex.

It’s another year of Made with Love, boasting to the the biggest mixology competition in North America. And we were there for the action once again at the Toronto qualifiers at College Street Bar on January 12th. New competitors competed against veteran bartenders. Check out who made the cut.

What’s the best way to spend a chilly start of the week? Lots of cocktails! Local bartenders flexing their skills battled it out at The Liberty Grand, Exhibition Place in front of 700 people this past Monday night. Organized by Made with Love, the annual cocktail competition brought together 17 finalists, representing various Toronto restaurants, to showcase the expanding mixology talent this city has to offer. One of two titles could be claimed, People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice.

The biggest cocktail competition in Canada came and went on Monday, March 25th, where the top sixteen finalists in Toronto competed for the MadeWithLove National Mixology Competition at the Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery District. This event originated in Old Montreal in 2009, and within three years it has gained huge popularity across Canada and has become an international phenomenon.
