Presented by the Canadian Art Foundation, RAFF boasts being North America’s only film festival centered around visual art and artists. On Thursday October 30th, 2013, the TIFF Bell Lightbox had a launch party that spanned 3 floors of the spacious, modern venue to mark the opening of the largest exhibition celebrating all the works of David Cronenberg, one of Canada’s most prolific and iconic filmmakers of our time. Cronenberg is one of the film industry’s originators of what is commonly known as the body horror or venereal horror genre (take the classic movie The Fly), for example.

In honour of one of Canada’s most prolific filmmakers, The TIFF Bell Lightbox is set to unveil a major exhibition celebrating the works of David Cronenberg entitled “Evolution”. It will showcase the evolution of David Cronenberg as a filmmaker curated by TIFF director CEO Piers Handling and Artistic Director Noah Cowan. On Tuesday, April 2, TIFF Bell Lightbox hosted the JUNOS for a special showcase celebrating Canadian music on film.
