Along with all of the red carpets, films, and parties, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) comes with some pretty “suite” perks for both celebrities and the media who write about them.

When the stars are in town, they get the star treatment at an assortment of suites that are fully stocked with all of the latest products, technology, fashion, and sweets.

The new Barre3 exercise studio combines controlled pilates and yoga movements, concentrating on major muscle groups including legs, shoulders, arms, and core.

Initially a Portland, Oregon based studio, they opened the first Canadian location in Toronto a couple of months ago on the second floor at 325 King St. West (across from the TIFF Bell Lightbox).

As you’ve probably heard by now, Jan 28, 2015 is the day to talk about mental health and to end the stigma associated with mental health. I’ve watched the new one-hour documentary about Clara’s Big Ride. It is a moving look at the coast-to-coast bike journey of six-time Canadian Olympian, Clara Hughes, and ten people who have mental illness. I really think everyone should watch it, too. It’s that time of year where we look back at our favourite events in Toronto that happened this past year (Top events of 2013 here, by the way). There are many factors to consider when it comes to what makes an event “the best” year after year. You work hard for your money so if you choose to spend it to have a good time, then you naturally expect to get what you pay for.

In it’s 4th year spanning multiple cities, The Taste of Iceland festival takes place here in downtown Toronto from Thursday, Nov 13th to Sunday, Nov 16th, 2014 in the form of prix fixe dining at Luma Restaurant as well as free concerts and films for the love of Reykjavik and beyond.
