Barsa Taberna, located next to the St. Lawrence Market at 26 Market Street, takes pride in their interior design, resembling that of Barcelona by John Tong‘s collaboration with the restaurant owner, Aras Azadiana. The 19th-century-built restaurant is revamped with works inspired by Gaudi, Picasso, and Dali which incorporate the city’s contemporary culture with bar stools, colourful bottles, abstract bulls, and flamboyant mosaics creating a dynamic atmosphere.
I remember my first visit to Portland Variety in the summer of 2014. Back then I was quite impressed with the delicious food and amazing cocktails. Flash forward to November 2015, and we’re visiting again to see what’s new and exciting on Portland Variety’s new fall/winter menu.
This November e11even restaurant turns 5, and we were invited to celebrate with none other than their signature dishes & cocktails, as well as a sneak peak into new ones to be added to the fall and winter menu. All the dishes were presented by Executive Chef Evan Tandy, who’s also worked at Real Sports Bar and Grill, since 2011.
We were invited to an intimate dining experience at MoRoCo Chocolat for an evening of indulgence. Walking in, the décor is chic. If you’re unfamiliar with MoRoCo Chocolat, located in the heart of Yorkville, imagine stepping into an Alice in Wonderland world, filled with Victorian-styled chairs, dark velvet curtains, vintage teapots, silver deer and gnomes.
