It’s been 8 months since their launch of Chef & Somm – a private chef service, and Chef Eyal Liebman and Sommelier Rebecca Meir-Liebman invited us to experience their 6 course wine and dine pairings at the Wine Cellar of Spiga Ristorante (1378 Yonge Street). For the evening, the duo provided a spectacular bespoke dining where the chef prepared dishes onsite using the kitchen – as opposed to semi-prepared catering – with the sommelier’s story sharing that ties into their…

In case you haven’t heard, You Gotta Eat Here is one of the most coveted shows on the Food Network Channel. John Catucci, the host who wears his signature plaid shirts, lives out every foodie’s dream of discovering comfort food at various restaurants and has a heart-to-heart in the kitchen with their respective owners & chefs. We ventured to Aga Khan Museum, a unique beautiful Toronto attraction that opened in 2014, designed by Pritzker Prize-winner Fumihiko Maki, offering visitors to see aspects of Islam. Inside, we arrived at Diwan restaurant, where Chef Mark McEwan and Chef de Cuisine John Kovac offer a menu inspired with Middle East, North African & Indian cuisine.

During lunch, we dined amidst antiques, with Diwan’s elegant 19th-century wooden panels hand-carved and painted in Damascus, it was a nice touch to the modern…
